I have a master slave configuration connected through a VPN tunnel. VPN tunnel has sometimes short connection difficulities, but that did not make any troubles in general so far as I can see.
But maybe once or twice a month there is a situation where master and slave will not sync anymore. just nothing happens on slave side. When I do SHOW SLAVE STATUS, SLAVE_IO_RUNNUNG and SLAVE_SQL_RUNNING still say "Yes" although no changes are applied to the slave.
After STOP SLAVE followed by START SLAVE everything will be in perfect sync again.
Master MySQL is 5.5.34 and slave is 5.6.14
Did anybody encounter similar problems or has some ideas whet's the problem how I can fix it or where I can check where the sync gets stuck?
Every idea is appreciated.
