Hi,
I've started to replicate my hosted database back to the office on to an old Dell desktop running Ubuntu. Now its not the faster desktop in the world, a good few years old but that's all its doing.
I've started to notice that some UPDATES are taking longer than expected on the master. I'm not convinced the issue is the replication but I'm wondering if it might be?
Would writing to the binary log slow the performance down?
If so anything I can do to improve it?
The sever is only a year old and top of the range at the time.
Jim
