Mysql replica + slow query (no replies)

Buenos Días,

Tengo una aplicación que maneja una base de datos mysql, ayer implemente una réplica master to master.
Hoy he notado que las consultas están un poco más lentas que antes de implementar la réplica deseo saber si es eso normal o si hice algo mal.
Cabe destacar que los servidor no están en el mismo lugar ni en la misma VLAN, están conectados por en enlace punto a punto de 2MB.
Gracias de antemano por la ayuda.
