will this work: start bin logging on server1, dump server1, start server1, restore dump on server2.. will server 2 catchup using binlogs? (4 replies)

The dump restore would take 5-6 hours.
Would setting up bin logging first, then dumping, changes to server1 db would continue to be made while server2 is restoring.
Once server 2 is up, would it try to catch up from the time/data lost while restore was happening using the binlogs?
