Unable to rotate binary logs (1 reply)

I have installed Mysql server 5.7.16 on Windows Server 2012 , with Mysql Installer using advanced option , so I chose the data directory on E:/My_folder/data and the configuration file is my.ini located on E:/My_folder. After configuring my.ini , users and privileges i noticed the replication was not working because the binary logs files were not rotating. This means each time I restarted the server the same file was creating mysql-bin.000001, instead of mysql-bin.000002 ...0003 etc. I copied my.ini to C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.7 , but still no results.I have installed Mysql Utilities 1.6 at C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Utilities 1.6 , set the PATH in Environment variables and I don't know what is the solution to my problem.
